Dear Friend,
Do you enjoy spending time in the outdoors? Do you camp, hike, fish or hunt?
Have you ever wondered what you would do if you got lost?...Stranded?...Injured?
What if you lost your backpack?...Your coat?...Your matches?
Do you have the knowledge and skills to survive in the wild for one night?...Two nights?...An entire week...or longer?
Each year thousands of outdoorsman find themselves in these exact situations only to realize that they lack the necessary skills to provide even their most basic needs. Our ancestors had none of the modern high-tech gear that we have today, yet could survive easily because of their intimate knowledge of the natural world. Without matches, knives, GPS, plastic containers, tents, sleeping bags, or freeze-dried food, they were able to live comfortably and easily.
Nature provides everything we need to survive, and flourish, if we take the time to learn her many secrets. The basic skills of survival and awareness were common knowledge to all native peoples from a very young age. In our modern fast-paced, technology-dependent society, its easy to see how far we have distanced ourselves from this important information. Could you survive without your gear?
And what about awareness? Awareness is the key to living well in the outdoors. Awareness of your surroundings. Awareness of your strengths, weaknesses, abilities, limits. Awareness of the plants, animals, trees, birds, and more are all critical, not only to your survival, but to your enjoyment of the outdoors. What have you been missing?
Get ready ! This is the program you've been looking for. Join us for 14 days of training that will blow your mind! Held in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, this program will teach you everything you need to know to feel safe, secure, and in balance with the great outdoors.
In Wildness,
Richard Cleveland

Testimonials from Previous Students...
Thanks again for a great two weeks in your advanced wilderness survival class. I learned so much in the way of factual knowledge/skills along with a broadened perspective and appreciation for nature. It was all the hands-on experiential learning that really made it stick. The knowledge base of you and your instructor's was incredible!
The day after I returned from your class I found my 16-year-old cousin lying on the couch complaining that there was nothing on television. Immediately I offered to take her outside and have some fun. Walking around urban Winston-Salem, NC we collected willow branches for weaving baskets and flat rocks for a stone oven. We saw a great blue heron, harvested from a sweet bamboo grove, and studied deer and raccoon tracks in a creek that ran through a tiny patch of woods I would never have guessed could support a deer. Your class gave me the knowledge base and enthusiasm to share this with someone else and make it applicable to fun, tangible projects.
Since I came home, I've been camping in my tiny 30 x 50-foot back yard in order to spend more time outside and learn the area better. I had lived in that house for 10 years and never paid any attention to the plants or animals. Now I'm using the wisteria there to build a little bamboo shelter, and this morning I sat and listened to the birds sing while watching a rabbit nibble at the grass. I guess it all boils down to this: your class taught me how to appreciate and utilize the natural resources all around us, which can be so easy to overlook if nobody shows us what to look at. I simply can't thank you enough.
Eric Thompson , Winston Salem, NC.
